I was so pleased to be asked to photograph Lewis & Victoria's Big Day. Tor's Dad Phil, is the owner of Derbyshire's top events, DJ & Disco Entertainment business (Spreadeagle Discos) and has become a good friend, and a face is see all the time on the East Midlands Wedding circuit.
Tor & Lewis has the most amazing day with some very dramatic low sunlight on the day, challenging light for a photographer to work with to say the least, but as you know I am always up for a challenge! The wedding ceremony took place in the lovely setting of Dovecliffe Hall Orangery, where the blazing sunshine streamed in through the south facing window and despite challenging light, I am particularly proud of the atmospheric a lovely moment caught when Tor made her big entrance with Dad Phil, coming down the isle... there's just something about this shot, the look on Tors face as she see's her new hubby-to-be waiting for her.
The Bride & Groom portraiture took on a backlit theme!... making best use of that sunlight for some dramatic warm silhouettes and wide views of the gardens and landscape at Dovecliffe. It was a cool & damp day but Tor & Lewis did an amazing job of working with me, to make the most of the photo opportunities on offer.
I have posted many of my favourites below, but I particularly like the confetti shots, door way pictures and the first dance shots, full of colour and ambience... i have never seen such an amazing, full and colourful light show!
